July

Well alot has happened since I created this little blog so here's an update. First let me explain a few things. My dad got put as the Head of the Farmington Stake Float commitee and they had to build a giant float to put in the Days of 47 Parade in SLC. Well the big day finally arrived and the float looked AWESOME!!

McCall and I slept outside in Salt Lake with the Russon's (some friends in my parents ward) and then some of my good friends from high school. and I guess I can't really say we "slept" outside- because there wasn't any sleep involved- at all! It was fun though and it was something everyone should experience at least once- will I ever do it again? heck no! I'm still feeling the effects of the lack of sleep and its been like 3 days! Anyways- the Float won the Sweepstakes Award- which means basically it was the best overall!

and then it also won the Peoples Choice Award! and I guess it was like 2 votes away from getting Kid's Choice too! way cool!

My dad just kept saying " well at least we didn't embarrass ourselves" but whatever- he did such a good job and was so proud of it! It was fun for everyone to see the finished product after the countless hours and hard work that was put into it. You never think about how much work it actually is to build one of these things until you get called to do it yourself. They aren't easy to make- that's for sure! but we are way proud of him - he did a really good job and the hard work payed off! here he is looking so happy and proud! he walked the entire parade route along side the float! and here's My Brother David- he was the one who drove it. And us after absolutely no sleep- we look pretty nasty :)

So that's all that happened for the Holiday. McCall and I are still living in grandma's basement for the time being- I finish my Massage Therapy program next week! yay!! and then hopefully I can find a job here in South Ogden since this is where we will both being going to school and it's where McCall works. But once all of that falls into place I'm not really sure what we'll be doing. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out! I'm super excited for all the change that is coming up for us- it has been a long time coming and I'm hoping it will bring good things for us.
More news:
so Today is Sunday and I got that dreaded question from the Bish.. he asked me to meet him in his office after sacrament was over- and you know what that means.. either I was gonna get a calling or I was gonna have to speak in church.. dun dun dun! they had kinda released some of the Young Men's presidency in Sacrament so I thought maybe the Young Women's would be next.. so they were gonna ask me.. but that wasn't it at all! Which I mean is probably a good thing cuz I am still feeling like I should still be in YW not teaching it. But to my.. what I think is.. pleasant surprise I got called to play the Piano for Relief Society. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it- Louise totally called it though and I guess I have to count my blessings and be grateful it wasn't to be the Organist.. but at least Louise will be happy for me. She has been wanting me to get a calling like this. It's totally all my grandma's fault however, she totally blabbed to the Relief Society Presidency and anyone else who would listen- that I play the Piano. oh well.. I can't really be mad at her about it- she was just trying to brag about me and my sisters being able to play. but still.. I guess I also have to be grateful that it came when it did. If they had asked me to do this before my program was done I honestly couldn't have done it.. so timing is everything. The Lord knows what I am capable of and so I'm glad he waited to give the Bishop this inspiration until I was ready for it. I really am excited though because I have been needing to get off my butt and practice- I really love to learn all the Hymns too. so It's exciting. I hope it will bring me some good blessings- I have been needing some as of late. Well.. thats been July for us- My Graduation is August 8th up at the U if anyone wants to come they are more than welcome! August will be a fun month for us- I get to graduate, we are going to Bear Lake with our friends, I have some parties to go to to celebrate being done with school. and Hopefully we can make it out to Colorado to Visit McCall's family. His mom has been up and down with her health and I'm not sure how much longer she will be around. So we are hoping to visit alot this year and spend some time with them- they are always so much fun! Until my next post- Farewell! thanks for caring about our busy lives! Chao!
