Catch Up

Day 08 - Historical inspiration. A post about someone from history that inspires me today.

Day 09 - My dream job. A post describing my dream job.
Day 10 - Recent proud moment. Something I'm proud of in the past few days.

Playing catch up on my thrity day posts.
Day 8 was a little hard for me... I don't really have a historical inspiration.. I love gordon b hinkley. Such an amazing man and prophet. Same with Joseph Smith. Both inspire me spiritually and make me want to be  better person. "Try a little harder to be a little better" as president hinkley put it so well.
Alot of people inspire me. I love people who stand up for what they believe in. I love it when people can be themselves and not care what other people think. I love people who sacrifice things they want for the people they love. Mostly I am thinking of people that I know personally rather than historical figures.. I guess I am more of the type of person that likes to leave the past in the past and live in the present with people around me who inspire me everyday.

Day 9. My Dream Job.
there is two things I could write about in this section so instead of choosing one or the other.. I will do both! :) first of all... when I got into my relationship with McCall.. I knew that he wanted to be a cop from day one. So that means.. we will never be millionaires.. so I pretty much plan on working at least part time to help support us. We could probably live on one income but it is just easier to have us both in good jobs. So that is why I decided to be a Dental Hygienist. Good pay, flexible hours.. what more could one ask for in a career. I have worked things out pretty well for myself. I have a great massage job that brings in good money, I have good schooling under my belt and soon I will have my degree to be a hygienist and I can do one or the other.. or do a little bit of both. that way I can write my own schedules and keep the hours that I want and I would be able to support myself if anything were to happen to McCall. Perfect.
Second dream job... if you can even call it a "job". I think its more of a calling. I can't wait to be a mother though. One day we will have our own little munchkins running around. It's definitely a life long commitment and not one I take lightly. I look forward to the great life we have ahead of us full of little kiddos... we'll see how many kids I can talk McCall into having. :)

Day 10 A recent proud moment.
Aside from McCall's new job... hm... I am proud of the fact that I have built myself a good reputation. One of the biggest things I have learned from my dad is that you never burn your bridges. I took that to heart and I definitely keep my professional relationships in good standing. you never know when you will need something from them in the future. I did just that with my job in park city. And one of the supervisors got an assistant manager job at another hotel. She called me to come and work for her there the other day. So basically I got a job offer for a job I didn't even apply for. Which I am pretty stoked about. I am pretty proud that I have gotten to that point and that I handle myself in such a way that people want me around and people want me to be a part of their company. Its a pretty amazing feeling!
