Day 02 - The why. Why I started blogging and the meaning behind my blog title.
The only meaning behind my blog title is that it's our name. We are the Christensen Family. Real creative, I know. Maybe I'll change it one day to something more catchy and creative but for now this blog is about just us, the Christensen family.
I am the only one between McCall and I that actually writes on the blog. I don't even think he really reads it either. I know a couple of his friends that do so that is kinda sad, but whatever. He says that he already knows what is going on in our lives so why does he need to read about it on our blog. LOL. Typical McCall.
The original thinking that I had behind why I started this blog was that not everyone I know has facebook, whether it be family or friends, so I decided this would be a way for them to keep up with what is going on in our lives and a place I could share photos with them as well. At this point that purpose still stands but the blog has developed other purposes along the way. It has become a place for me to vent (which has been happening alot more lately, sorry about that!) It has also become somewhat of a journal. I used to write in my journal everyday when up until the first year or two of high school and I kind of stopped right around the time I started dating McCall. Sad, I know. It is kind of funny to go back and read about the things I cared about back then and remember certain things that happened in my life. There are alot of situation and memories that I wouldn't recall otherwise so it is kind of nice to have a record of my life, written down. I definitely get a laugh or two over how upset I got over a boy or how a situation got blown way out of proportion because of how emotionally invested I was in certain relationships. Oh the life of a teenager. So since I started slacking on the journal thing, I figure that if I put it on the blog, at least I will be able to look back and remember the big things that we had going on. It is also a good way to keep track of when things happen too... I've had to come back more than once to read when I wrote about McCall's job prospects to remember when it was exactly. So it helps me remember time lines.
Sorry, that's kind of boring. But it's the truth :) I find that I can clear through all the clutter in my head by writing things down. So I'm sorry that my posts go on and on. I guess I need to find more people to talk to so that I don't just dump it all on the blog.
