Happenings Lately

Wow. I am such a bogging slacker! I never finsihed my thankful month either... so we will jsut say I am grateful for everything! :)

So much has happened since my last post.... So much to update :)

First update- I got another job!!!!  

No not a new job- replacing the one I have- but another one on top of the one I already have. So yes, I will still be working at Massage Envy, just not as much as I am now. I decided that I was stupid if I didn't take advantage of the winters we have here in Utah. Having such awesome snow makes Utah a big tourist attraction in the winter and ALOT of people come from all over the world to come to Park City and ski. So I decided I would try and work my first season up there and see what it was like. I feel like it will give me some good experience for my resume, I can make some serious dough, and maybe I'll find another place to work at that I love. So far it's been amazing! My boss is awesome and I really am already loving their business sense. It's nice to work for a company that really cares about its employees and also one that really cares about their business. Nothing against envy because I love it there, but they just take things so much more seriously at such a high end spa. So I bet you are all on the edge of your seat wondering where it is that I am working.

Stein Eriksen bought out a property across the street from their hotel and redid everything and are re-opening it. So I am working under Stein Eriksen Management Corp. but I will be working at

Very fancy sounding- I know. The spa is french themed and super amazing looking. It just barely re-opened on friday so I have been in trainings all week and helping get the spa set up and ready for clients.

and when I say training... I mean that I got to get spa treatments all week long.... super hard life I have... seriously... it was gruiling. LOL!

I love my life.

It's a long drive but for what they are paying me- it is worth it. I am going to be dead by the time April gets here but I hope to say that we have paid off the small ammount of debt that we have, and that we have saved up a large sum for our house. 

Next update: McCall is almost done with school!! yay!!

He has commencement this friday if anyone wants to attend and will be done with the police academy in a month or so. He still hasn't been officially hired anywhere... yet.

The most promising one right now, and the one I REALLY want him to get as well, is Morgan County. I want him to get it because it would be so perfect with my new job in Park City, it would seriously cut down my commute by a ton of time. And I already kind of have some houses I would like to buy out there.

He has done a written test, and had a panel interview. Not even 24 hours after his panel interview- they called him because the Sheriff wants to meet with him!! They never get back to you that quickly so I am thinking it's a good sign. Everyone keep him in your prayers please- it would be so incredible if he got it!

 I am so nervous for the Sheriffs interview it's not even funny. I wish I could just be a fly on the wall to see how it goes.

 Next Update: I cooked Thanksgiving Dinner!

For those of you who really know me- this is huge! My parents were out of town for thanksgiving and we had to cancel our trip to Colorado because of McCall's school. So we were left on our own. Not one thing we cooked was burned, it all tasted delicious. So I am pretty dang proud of myself. We had thanksgiving dinner with my brother in law so he didn't have to eat Hunry Mans for his dinner and then we played with our Kinect all day. Most of the family ended up at the house anyways so it still kind of felt like a normal Thanksgiving with everyone around

I am super excited for this Christmas. We aren't really doing any gifts this year so it's not really stressful at all. We can just relax and enjoy the season. We are doing our traditional Jon Schmidt concert in a few weeks with some friends and my brother so it will be alot of fun. Can't wait!!

Not anything else major to update on right now I guess...My mother-in-law is coming to visit this week for commencement and we are super excited to see her. So I will try and be better about pictures and post some more interesting things. I hate pictures of myself right now with  my braces so I have avoided the camera the last few months.

And school is done this week- so all my long lost friends out there- we should PLAY!! I am taking mostly online classes next semester so that I don't have too bad of a schedule with trying to juggle two jobs so hopefully I can get together with some people now- text me and we will get together or have you over for dinner.

(Oh and Kami- I need to brush up on my french for my new job lol- you should be my tutor =)
