Blast From The Past!!

So I got a pretty funny blast from the past today. In 12th grade- about a month before graduation, My english teacher had us all write a letter to ourselves that was going to be sent to us 5 years later. I had totally forgotten about that assignment until I got my letter this week. I had a good laugh about it. Most of what I predicted came true, different school with a different major and a different job but other than that, I was right. It's amazing to see how different we can become in just 5 years and how different we perceive ourselves and our lives. I even left a little joke for myself in it too- pretty funny. In my letter I talked alot about McCall and how great he was (and still is) I'm glad I wrote nice things about him. And I'm glad I followed my own directions and married him. In the letter I talked about what my life was like back then and then predicted what I thought my life would be like and gave my self advice. First thing I wrote about my life back then was, "I am in a relationship with McCall K Christensen. If you have screwed it up with him then you are a very dumb person!! He is amazing and you love him, and hopefully you are married to him by now." Amen to that, so glad I am not dumb and didn't mess it up. I'm so happy he married me! I told myself not to forget my friends like Chalee, Kami, and Jae. I told myself to respect my own opinion of myself, remember McCall loves me :), and to never do what other people tell you to do- don't let other people dictate your future, and to have a blast! Oh.. and to play lots of checkers! hahaha (inside joke)

I predicted I was gonna go to the U, which I did for a semester, and that I would go into an education career. So instead I'm gonna go to SLCC for dental hygiene. Close enough. Lol. We also included what we thought our resume would look like in 5 years as well and I am happy to report that my resume is WAY more impressive than I thought it would be 5 years ago.

It was fun to read what I thought back then and to be able to identify how I have changed. I'm glad I can say my life is right on track with what I wanted back then. And also I'm glad I can say my life is great and I'm very happy with my choices. I'm glad I followed the most important one and married McCall. :)
