Well I decided I should take a pic of my hand before it got cut out. The little arrow just shows kind of where my tumor was. It ran in between my fingers and was about an inch long You can kinda tell its swolen but otherwise you cant really tell where it is. Surgery went well. I haven't taken any pain meds today and my hand doesn't hurt at all- which is good. The side of my middle finger is still numb though so that's a little worry-some. Could be a sign of nerve damage or it could just be taking longer for the anesthesia to wear off. who knows. I don't see the doc for a week to have the stitches out so we'll see what happens then. I can't really do much with my hand this way. McCall is pretty much waiting on me hand and foot. I feel bad that he has to do that but I really have pretty much the most amazing hubby in the world. He even bought me flowers when he went to go get my pills. I seriously owe him big time for takin care of me while i'm like this. You don't realize how much you use your hands until you can't use them anymore. Here's a pic of the post op. I can't take the bandage off for another few days so this is all you get.
They put on the nasty barbie pink bandage and I had no choice. It looks ridicuous but oh well I guess. It comes off in a few days anyways. My knuckles are huge! I told my dad they were about as big as his are. I guess you can't really tell without seeing what my normal knuckles look like but I'm sure you get the point.
Thanks for all the well wishes and all that from everyone who asked about it all. I miss seeing normal people though. I have been couped up inside for 3 days now and I'm getting bored. So sorry if I am being a pest to anyone with my texts. More to come later :)
